The new cupcake?

Mmm! A friend turned me on to this delicious macaroon shop on Beverly Hills, Paulette. These little bad boys are not only so pretty to look like, they are ahmahzing! I die with every bite. My personal favorites so far are the caramel ones, pictured on the far left.

I'd like to do a taste test with these and ones that I had a few years ago on Tokyo by Pierre Herme that were just bananas. But will these loverlies ever dethrone the cupcake? We shall see...
